Cotto vs. Canelo Fight is on!

Cotto vs. Canelo fight is officially set!

The long-awaited and eagerly anticipated middleweight showdown is finally announced on Thursday that reigning champion Miguel "Angel" Cotto will defend his WBC and lineal middleweight titles against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on November 21 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight will be broadcast live on HBO Pay-Per-View (PPV).

The Puerto Rican superstar won the middleweight crown with the a devastating 10th round knockout against former titleholder Sergio Martinez in 2013. Cotto (40-4, 33KOs) has successfully defended the title dismantling Daniel Geale in June and now making the biggest fight of his career.

Alvarez (45-1-1, 32 KOs), the Mexican's most active pugilist had his three fights - wins over James Kirkland, Erislandy Lara and Alfredo Angulo following his only loss in his career from Floyd Mayweather, Jr. in 2013.
